A road in Welbourn has been closed for a “number of hours” after a serious crash involving a black car and a pedestrian outside a school.
Police were called to Main Road in Welbourn outside the Sir William Robertson Academy at 3.31pm on Tuesday, December 4.
The force closed off a section of the A607, near to the school.
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We have closed the road between Pottergate Lane, Navenby and Leadenham and expect the road to be closed for a number of hours.
“We are advising parents that the parents evening planned at William Robertson School this evening has been cancelled.”
An eyewitness told The Lincolnite: “I could see a person laid on the road under some coats.
“There was a bus half in and half out the school car park. The person covered in coats was in front of the bus.”
Drivers are being told to avoid the area, while the police and ambulance services deal with the collision.
A spokesperson for East Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 3:22pm, with the caller reporting an incident on Main Road, Welbourn.
“We sent two paramedics in ambulance cars, a double crewed ambulance and a medical first responder.”
