What a transformation! Free haircuts for the homeless

The owner wants to give something back the community

A barbershop in Lincoln is offering free haircuts to the homeless, and it has already made quite the transformation on people.

Handsome Barbershop, on Monks Road, had their first customer on Monday, December 17 after putting out an appeal on their Facebook page.

The homeless man, who didn’t want to be named, walked passed their shop this morning when the owner told him about their free offer.

He didn’t believe the barbershop’s offer at first, but was said to be very happy with the finished result.

Look at that smile.

A free haircut for those in need.

Yahya Abdula, the owner of Handsome Barbershop, told The Lincolnite that he wanted to give something back to the community.

“I came to the country running away from war as a refugee and was looked after when I had nothing,” he said.

“Now I have something it is time to give back to the community. These people are the most vulnerable and most in need.

“It’s all about being part of the community and giving something back. This is the best time of year to do it.”

Get in touch with the barbershop if you know a homeless person who would like a free haircut.
