When will O2’s data blackout be fixed?

No data? You’re not alone

Network provider O2 has faced a barrage of complaints this morning after its data service went down unexpectedly.

The issue is also affecting customers of Sky Mobile, Tesco Mobile, Lyca Mobile and GiffGaff.

Social media networks have been flooded with angry users unable to access their data.

Problems with the network began at around 4am on Thursday, December 6 for people across Lincolnshire.

02 said in a statement: “We are aware our customers are unable to use data this morning.

“Our technical teams are working on the issue with high priority. We are really sorry and working as hard and as fast as we can to fix this.”

Calls, texts and online payments have reportedly also been affected.

The company has directed customers to its service status checker, but ironically this appears to also be having issues  and fails to load.

This story will be updated with the latest information and updates on the outage.
