Lincoln men deny alleged attack on homeless

A man was caught on camera drop-kicking a tent in Hull

Two Lincoln men have denied an alleged attack on homeless people caught on camera in Hull.

Jamie Nickell, 26, and Jake Mann, 29, from Lincoln appeared at Hull Magistrates on Monday, January 14.

Both men were charged with occasioning actual bodily harm, and denied the offences at the hearing this morning.

Conditional bail has been granted to both men and they will appear again at Hull Crown Court on February 11.

Many were shocked by the footage released by Humberside Police in an attempt to identify the men.

A CCTV camera captured the moment a man took a five metre run-up before drop-kicking a tent in a shop doorway, where two homeless men were sleeping.

All the while, a friend laughed and filmed the cruel attack and another man looked on.

It happened on Whitefriargate in Hull city centre on November 30 at around 12.30am.
