Met Office issues Lincolnshire ice warning

Be careful on the roads

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for ice in Lincolnshire for Tuesday.

Forecasters say that ice will form on some surfaces overnight and into Tuesday morning across much of the UK.

Lincoln, Grimsby and Scunthorpe are highlighted among the affected areas covered by the yellow warning.

The yellow warning will be in place across the East Midlands between midnight on Tuesday, January 22 until 12pm on the same day.

The Met Office said there may be ice on some roads, pavements and cycle paths. Some roads and railways could be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.

There is also potential for injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
