Horror film with Shayne Ward set in Lincolnshire might not be filmed in the county

Potential locations are being scouted though

The film telling the story of an ancient curse lurking within the estate of a country manor house in Lincolnshire isn’t certain to be filmed in the county.

As previously reported, former X-Factor winner and Coronation Street star Shayne Ward will star in “Skendleby” which is based on the novel of the same name by Nick Brown.

It was initially understood that filming would take place at Skendleby Hall in the Lincolnshire Wolds, but the owner of the venue told Lincolnshire Reporter he has not heard anything about it yet.

Doctor Rebekah Productions, author Nick Brown and his son Guy Brown have successfully adapted the best selling horror franchise novel for the screen.

A spokesperson for the Doctor Rebekah Productions company told Lincolnshire Reporter there are currently no plans in place for location filming, but areas are being scouted at the moment.

Shayne Ward will star in the film alongside Mark Jackson (“The Orville”) and Niamh McGrady (“The Fall”). He has signed up to play archaeologist Dr Giles Glover in Skendleby.
