Teen stabbed outside Lincoln Tesco

Two men have been arrested

A teenager is in hospital after being stabbed next to the cash machine at a Tesco store in Lincoln.

Police were called to the Tesco store on Wragby Road at 4.29pm on Monday, February 4.

The boy who was stabbed is recovering in hospital. His condition is stable.

Two men aged 50 and 20 were arrested with the latter still in custody. The arrest was made on suspicion of wounding with intent, police said.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We were called to the Tesco Store on Wragby Road at 4.29pm yesterday following an incident that had taken place outside of the cash machine.

“A 17-year-old male had been stabbed and he is recovering in hospital. His condition is stable.

“A 20-year-old man was arrested at the scene and remains in custody. A 50-year-old man was also arrested and he has been released with no further action.”

Any witnesses to this incident should contact Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 299 of February 4.

A spokesperson for EMAS added: “We received a call at 4.34pm on February 4 from our colleagues in the police force requesting medical assistance at the Tesco store in Wragby Road, Lincoln.

“We sent a crewed ambulance and one patient was taken to Lincoln County Hospital.”
