A lorry’s load slipped into an unsafe position causing road closures and delays in rush hour in Boston on Monday evening.
According to an eyewitness at the scene, South End Road and Skirbeck Road were shut after the reel slipped on the lorry on after afternoon of Monday, March 25.

Charles Turner was at the scene at 4pm at which time the road was open but barriers were up.
He told Lincolnshire Reporter at the time it was not possible to turn right from John Adams Way on the lights after the bridge.
A diversion was put in place. The detour started at the Napoleon pub. In the other direction Freiston Road was closed.

The vehicle was later recovered. It is understood that some of the road closures were not lifted until after 10pm.
