Firm buys 11 acres of commercial land in Gainsborough

A big boost for the town’s industry

Nottinghamshire-based company Strawsons Property has acquired 11 acres of commercial development land in Gainsborough.

The land on Somerby Park was purchased for an undisclosed sum last month amidst plans to develop a number of small, speculative units. It will also provide larger design and builds opportunities for a range of uses.

It has already been allocated outline planning permission for business, general industrial, storage or distribution, as well as financial and professional services use.

The site is already home to a number of major employers including Paragon Flexibles, AMP Rose, ICO Polymers UK Limited and Trent Plastics.

Somerby Park also forms part of the ‘Invest Gainsborough’ initiative run by West Lindsey District Council. It includes 20 acres of serviced employment land which makes available financial incentives including rate relief of up to 100%.

It also includes planning and general business support to companies looking to establish a base in the area.
