Man dies after Holdingham roundabout crash

The crash is being investigated by police

A man in his 70s from Mansfield has died after a crash on the A17 Holdingham roundabout on Wednesday.

As previously reported, an air ambulance was called to a crash between a lorry and a truck. Police received reports of the collision in Sleaford at 2.12pm on Wednesday, March 27.

The crash involved two vehicles – a green Toyota Hilux and a white Scania flat lorry.

The driver of the Toyota Hilux was taken to Lincoln County Hospital. Police confirmed on Thursday he had died.

The central reservation was damaged and vehicle fluid spilled across the road.

EMAS sent a LIVES first responder, the air ambulance, a paramedic in an ambulance car and a crewed ambulance to the scene.

Lincolnshire Police is investigating the circumstances of the crash. Anyone who saw the collision, or the green Toyota Hilux driving westbound along the A17 towards Holdingham roundabout in the direction of Newark, should contact police.
