Police scour selling sites for stolen antiques

Watch out for stolen goods

People are being warned to be on the lookout for stolen goods when shopping online following a burglary in Claxby near Market Rasen.

An antique two seater settee and an antique grandfather clock were taken during the burglary at a property in the village on February 13.

Lincolnshire Police issued pictures of the stolen furniture in the hope of recovering the pieces.

A spokesperson said: “We are asking the public to be vigilant about buying these items online and if anyone does see them to report it in one of the following ways:

“101 quoting 208 of February 13, email [email protected] 208 of February 13 in the subject line or by calling Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
