Weekend road closures to resume in Branston

Don’t forget

Weekend closures will resume on the B1188 Lincoln Road through Branston from next Friday.

The closure will allow for continued construction as part of the Lincoln Eastern Bypass project.

11 consecutive weekends were originally outlined for closure from January 18.

Progress ahead of schedule meant that three weekend of restrictions were lifted.

They’ll be back in place on March 22-25 and March 29 – April 1, from 6.30pm on Fridays and 6am on Mondays.

It’s described as a full hard closure, which means even emergency vehicles will not be permitted through the road blocks.

Executive Member for Highways at Lincolnshire County Council, Councillor Richard Davies, said previously: “The final two weekend closures will still go ahead as planned so road users should plan their journeys accordingly.

“I want to thank everyone for remaining patient during these and all of our other Lincoln Eastern Bypass works.”
