Lego astronauts and rockets to orbit Lincoln Castle

The exhibition starts next month

Get ready to take a trip to outer space when a Lego exhibition goes into orbit at Lincoln Castle next month.

The Outer Space event, presented and built by Bricklive, will take place at the castle from Wednesday, May 1 to Sunday, June 2 from 10am to 5pm.

The event includes astronauts, rockets, planets and even a friendly alien. There will be a mix of learning and photo opportunities for everyone enjoy in the new touring show.

A Lincoln Castle day ticket or Lincoln Castle annual pass is required for entry. Anyone with an annual pass can visit as many times as they want.

Adults tickets are priced at £14 with concessions £11.50 and children £7.50. Under 5s can enter for free. Click here to purchase tickets.

This isn’t the first time the castle has hosted a large lego exhibition. An interactive medieval world with a life-sized Lego dragon with glowing eyes was part of the Lego Brick Show at the castle last summer.

This is what happened when The Lincolnite had a sneak peak of last year’s exhibition:

General Manager at Lincoln Castle Kimberley Vickers said: “Last year’s Brick Kingdom was really popular with visitors, and we’re sure BRICKLIVE Outer Space will be equally successful, especially given that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the Apollo moon landings.

“The new collection will include models of famous astronauts Neil Armstrong, Yuri Gagarin and Valentina Tereshkova, as well as some extra-terrestrial visitors!

“It promises to be an out-of-this-world experience, and just one of the many exciting events we’re hosting this summer.”
