Person hit by train: Major rail delays in Lincolnshire

Emergency services are working to reopen the line as soon as possible

A person has been hit by a train, causing major delays for some Lincolnshire commuters.

The incident was reported at around 10.30am near to the Peterborough station.

Emergency services and Network Rail are working to reopen to line between Peterborough and Ely.

It is expected to be reopened by 12pm, but people in Grantham and Stamford should expect major delays if they are heading towards Norwich.

Customers are being advised to use the Greater Anglia, Great Northern or LNER services to avoid delays.
