Strong winds set to batter south Lincolnshire

A Met Office weather warning has been issued for the south of the UK up to Lincolnshire from this evening.

The yellow warning is in place from 9pm on Friday, April 26 until 3pm on Saturday, April 27.

Forecasters have told people to expect strong winds to bring disruption, with possible delays to roads rail, air and ferry transport.

“Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed bridges and routes is likely”, the warning continues. “Some short term loss of power and other services is possible due to fallen trees and branches.”

Gusts of up to 60 or 70 miles per hour are likely in coastal and exposed areas during the morning.
