Third arrest over Gainsborough murder

The latest arrested man remains in custody

A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of Jordan O’Brien.

As previously reported, Jordan, 25, suffered injuries in an alleged assault at his mother’s house on Scampton Way in Gainsborough at 10.43pm on Wednesday, March 27.

Lincolnshire Police confirmed on Wednesday, April 10 that a 27-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.

Kieron Walker, 22, of Larch Avenue, Auckley, Doncaster was previously charged with murder and possession of a knife/sharped pointed article in a public place.

Walker appeared in court on April 3. Following his appearances at both Lincoln Magistrates’ and Crown Court he was remanded in custody.

A 21-year-old man who was arrested on March 28 in connection with this incident remains on police bail pending further enquiries.

Reports say that dad of two Jordan, who had another child on the way, suffered injuries so severe that doctors had to amputate one of his legs while in critical condition.

Tributes continue to pour in for the Gainsborough dad with a “true heart made of pure gold”.
