Wheelie good! More bike ports in the city

Lincoln is going up a gear for cyclists

Two new colourful bike ports have been installed in Lincoln to encourage more cycling in the city.

Stokes Tea & Coffee at The Lawn is one of the first to become a “bike friendly” café with a new bike storage unit.

It also offers free water bottle refills, a wheel pump and the loan of a bike lock for cyclists while using the café.

Other Lincoln BIG levy payers can apply to loan another bright pink bike port all year round.

Samantha Pover, Stokes Tea & Coffee marketing manager, said: “We are extremely excited to be working in partnership with Lincoln BIG and Access Lincoln, being the first in Lincoln to take delivery of their car bike port.

“I am very passionate about helping make the city accessible and encouraging people to get out there on their bikes, keep healthy and enjoy the outdoors.”

Anyone who doesn’t have a bike and would like to get in on the action can loan an orange city bike from various locations.
