Person injured after crash outside Pilgrim Hospital

The A16 outside Pilgrim Hospital is closed

There was one casualty after a crash on the A16 outside Pilgrim Hospital in Boston on Thursday morning.

Lincolnshire Police said just after 10am on Thursday, May 30 that they are at the scene of the crash, which involved a blue Jaguar and a silver Dacia. Highways are en route for a diversion.

People are being advised to avoid the area.

A spokesperson for EMAS said: “We received a call at 9.51am this morning to Sibsey Road, Boston.

“The caller reported an RTC. We sent a crewed ambulance and transported one patient to Boston Pilgrim Hospital.”

Lincolnshire Police said: “One man has been taken to hospital, he is described as poorly.”

Police said at around 12.40pm that the road is expected to remain closed for a further 30 minutes.
