Two popular Lincoln bars close suddenly

Both venues are much loved by locals

Lincoln Tap House & Kitchen and The West End Tap have both suddenly closed down.

Both venues are run by Lincoln Tap Pubs Ltd, which ended their lease agreements this week.

A notice sent to staff and seen by The Lincolnite revealed that the company will cease trading “effective immediately.”

We reached out to the venue several times for comment, but were told that “nobody was available for comment.”

It went on to say that the “decision has not been made lightly and that the directors would like to thank [staff] for their hard work.”

The West End Tap has been a main stay in the student housing area of Lincoln, where it holds a monthly quiz and regular live music events.

Lincoln Tap House & Kitchen opened in 2015 prides itself for serving “delicious food, craft beer, coffee and cocktails.”

The venue has even rented out dining igloos with views of Lincoln Castle and Cathedral in the past couple of years.
