Woman seriously injured after A46 roundabout crash

Another woman received minor injuries

A woman in her 80s was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash on the A46 Nettleham Road roundabout on Friday morning.

As previously reported, Lincolnshire Police were called to the crash involving two vehicles on the A46 Lincoln Road in Nettleham at 10.16am on Friday, May 24. It caused the road to be blocked both ways.

Police said that the woman in her 80s was taken to Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham by ambulance. Another woman received minor injuries and her injuries are being assessed.

Police said at around 1.10pm that vehicle recovery was on the scene.

Eye witness Rick Parkinson Adi previously told The Lincolnite: “Someone was being treated behind the police car. It is all gridlocked heading down Wragby Road.”
