A Bike Fest, D-Day concerts and a family rave with a multi-sensory dance floor including glitter cannons and more are among the event highlights in Lincoln this weekend.
If anyone is stuck for things to do, The Lincolnite has compiled a list of event highlights for this weekend – Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9.

Bikers from across the Lincoln area will come together for a day of music and entertainment alongside a display of motorbikes.
When: Sunday, June 9 (10am-5pm) Where: Brayford Waterfront Cost: Free
Big Fish Little Fish – Family Rave at The Engine Shed.
A family rave will take over the Engine Shed for a ‘No sleep til bedtime’ onesie and pyjama party. Club classics and BFLF anthems on the multi-sensory dance floor with glitter cannons, bubbles, giant balloons and parachute dances. Optional fancy dress of pyjamas and onesies.

A weekend of commemoration of D-Day in the event’s 75th anniversary year. Two major outdoor concerts will take place. Saturday features the Stars of the 40’s with a range of tribute acts. Sunday includes the D-Day Darlings, Waddington Military Wives Choir and Blake.
When: Saturday, June 8 & Sunday, June 9 (7pm-10pm. Site opens at 5.30pm each evening) Where: International Bomber Command Centre Cost: £25 per person on Saturday, £35 per person on Sunday. VIP tickets are also available including a private tour of the Memorial and Gardens with Prosecco and canape reception for £75 per person.
Abarth Club East Midlands are hosting a charity car display event in Lincoln.
Abarth Club East Midlands are hosting a charity car display event in City Square to raise money for the Notthinghamshire & Lincolnshire Air Ambulance. A variety of Abarth cars will be on show. The club said it was given a free pitch by the City of Lincoln Council to host the event.

Dress in 70s attire, get into the disco vibe and join hundreds of people from across Lincolnshire in a 70s Flower Power themed Moonlight Walk through Lincoln. The walk is in aid of St Barnabas Hospice. Each participant will receive a PINK t-shirt, finishers medal and hot food.
When: Saturday, June 8 (entertainment from 8pm, walk starts at 10pm) Where: Starting at Bishop Grosseteste University Cost: It is a sponsored event. Minimum sponsorship for adults is £20
The Collection Museum is hosting Michael Shaw, Belén Cerezo and Ros Lorimer as OPEM Artists in Residence 2019. There are also some ‘Meet the Artist’ sessions.
When: May 11 to June 23 Where: The Collection Museum, Danes Terrace Cost: The event is Pay-What-You-Decide allowing visitors to decide how much they want to donate to the museum to experience the exhibition
Popular Q The Music Show is coming to Lincoln with the iconic music of James Bond in a concert from the West End. The show will be compered by Madeline Smith who played Miss Caruso in Live and Let Die.

Ballet Cymru presents an award-winning adaption of Shakespeare’s Rome & Juliet, with intense fighting, passionate duets and universal themes through dramatic and lyrical choreography.
