Grantham nursery rated “outstanding” again

For the fourth consecutive time

A nursery school in Grantham maintained its “outstanding” rating from Ofsted for the fourth consecutive time after a recent inspection.

Ofsted visited Wyndham Park Nursery School, which has served the town since 1942, on May 16, 2019.

Within the inspection report it praises the “vast range of bespoke learning opportunities” and “skilfully designed learning activities”.

The report also praises outcomes for all groups of children. It says the children are making “outstanding progress from their different starting points” and a significant proportion of children make “more than typical progress across all areas of learning”.

Ofsted Inspector Andrew Lakatos praised the “excellent relationships” and the “kindness, support and teamwork that permeate the entire setting and contribute significantly to its success”.

Headteacher at Wyndham Park Laura Cook, who has been in her role since September 2014, said: “I am obviously thrilled with the result of the recent inspection. The staff and governors have worked so hard since the previous inspection and have been enthusiastic and committed to implementing the changes that continue to drive the nursery forward.

“We are proud that our nursery is full of happy children and their parents; without the amazing support from our children’s families, our role would be a lot more difficult. This is a well deserved success for everyone involved with our school.”

The Nursery has a few spaces left for September 2019 and is holding an open morning on Friday, July 5 between 9.30am-10.30am.
