Repairs for over 20 botched Grantham roads

The contractor is being brought back at their own expense

There will be disruption on the roads in Grantham when a construction is brought back to resurface below standard roads – at the contractor’s own expense.

Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) is bringing the contractor back from June 24 until the end of July.

Diversions will be put in place and affected residents will be sent details on timings before works start.

In addition, Barrowby Gate and Worcester Road will be surface dressed to prevent potholes.

Councillor Richard Davies, responsible for highways at LCC, said: “A number of these roads were surfaced dressed last year, but the work did not meet the required standard.

“So the contractor is being brought back in to put things right at their own expense. They will be resurfacing the roads for a significant improvement in their condition.”
