Green light for Starbucks and Greggs in Pinchbeck

Developers said it will enhance the area

A Starbucks drive-thru, Greggs and Formula One Autocentre will be coming to Pinchbeck after plans were approved by South Holland District Council.

The authority gave the go-ahead for a new development on land at the junction of Wardentree Lane and Wardentree Park in the village.

The proposal by Hawkstoen Properties will build five units on the site for commercial use, including a Toolstation and a gym.

74 car parking spaces are also included in the plans.

According to the developer, 32 full times jobs would be created as a result of the development.

The site is earmarked for employment use under the authority’s own local plan.

In the proposals, the developer said that the site would help to “enhance” the local area and “boost the economy”.

It added that the development would also be convenient for people who work in the area.

The developer said the site and its outlets would provide a suitable place to “take a break from the work environment”.

It said: “They will serve the employment areas and add to the attractiveness of the area to staff and visitors by providing a convenient place to pop out from work for beverages or snacks, to keep fit or to get the car fixed.”
