On the petition page, Kirsty said: “Now the summer holidays have arrived parents are looking for free activities for their children to keep them entertained throughout the six weeks.
“Lincoln is lacking in outdoor activities for kids and I believe families would benefit from a free splash park maybe situated in a local park.
“The nearest one is Grantham or Retford which is a good 40 minute journey away. So this petition is to request a splash park in Lincoln, which would be a welcomed addition for the community that children of all ages can enjoy.”
Tori Lindley also posted in ‘You’re probably from Lincoln if’ saying she recently contacted her local councillor to put forward an idea of having a splash park in the city, but that responses so far have warned the money may not be available to fund it.

Anaerobic digestion breaks down organic materials without oxygen to produce biogas for electricity and heating. The facility plans to use straw-based cattle manure, chicken litter, and straw from local farms.
