Rapist on the run from prison for a week

The search continues to find him

A convicted rapist is still on the run a week after absconding from an open prison in Boston.

Stephen Tierney, 39, did not return to HMP North Sea Camp on Wednesday, July 3 and has been missing ever since.

The search continues to locate Tierney, who is described as posing a medium risk of violence towards the public. The public are advised not to approach him.

Tierney is described as around five foot seven inches tall and of small build with brown/ginger hair. He also has a tattoo saying “wrist” on his right arm.

Police previously said that Tierney was last seen in Boston Market Place and may have used public transport to travel to Lincoln.

Police have released a new picture of Stephen Tierney.

Lincolnshire Police have been working with their colleagues in Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and the British Transport Police.

Any sightings or information should be reported to Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 316 of July 3, or in an emergency call 999.
