CCTV appeal after assault left man seriously injured

Police have released CCTV images of a man they wish to find in connection with a serious alleged assault where a man was left with serious head injuries and a bleed to the brain.

As previously reported, a 24-year-old man was reportedly knocked unconscious and suffered a bleed to the brain, a blood clot and a fractured skull in the assault on St Peter’s Avenue in Cleethorpes just after 3am on Sunday, July 28.

The man from Lincolnshire was taken to hospital for treatment and police previously said his injuries were not life threatening.

Humberside Police have released CCTV images of a man they are looking for in connection with the assault, who was wearing distinctive clothing.

He has been described as in his mid 20s, five foot ten inches tall, skinny, with brown hair. He was wearing jeans with a white top with grey shoulders.

Police said: “His face cannot be seen unfortunately, but the images were captured a little while before the alleged incident happened.

“The man is also seen walking along with his arm around a woman. She could have information in relation to this incident.”
