CCTV appeal to find Lincoln Castle cannon vandals

Police released CCTV images of a group they want to identify after the canon at Lincoln Castle was vandalised.

As previously reported, the cannon, which dates back to 1721 and has been outside Lincoln Castle since 1982, was in the firing line for repairs after it was mysteriously toppled.

Lincolnshire Police have now revealed that a group of four people are suspected to have caused damage to the cannon at around 5am on July 21.

Police are appealing for help to identify four people in CCTV images in connection with criminal damage.

Anyone with information that could assist with police enquiries should contact them on 101 or via email at [email protected] quoting reference 19000405846.
