More drama on the Ermine as ‘gun shots’ heard

Police are investigating

Police rushed to the Ermine estate in Lincoln as noises “consistent with gun shots” were heard at a property.

Lincolnshire Police are investigating damage to two windows at a property in Scopwick Place at around 9.45pm on Thursday, August 29.

Police are investigating the circumstances. There were no injuries, officers confirmed.

A reader who contacted The Lincolnite said police had cordoned off a flat opposite the Lincoln Imp pub, just off Riseholme Road.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or via email at [email protected] quoting reference 81 of August 30.

It can also be reported through the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online here.

Also in the Ermine this week, police investigated the death of a 26-year-old man whose body was found at a property on Escombe View.

A man was previously arrested on suspicion of murder, but the death is now not being treated as suspicious, police confirmed.
