Driver seriously injured in village crash

Both cars ended up one the side of the road

One driver is in hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Nettleham on Thursday evening.

A black Toyota Yaris and purple Ford Fusion were involved in the collision on Mill Hill at around 7.50pm.

Both cars ended up on the side of the road. One ended up in the bollards by the Co-op store and the other went into a stream near the Scout hut.

The Ford driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to Lincoln County Hospital.

Lincolnshire Police said that the road was busy at the time of the crash so would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time.

A spokesperson said: “We would also like to speak to the owners of two vehicles which were parallel parked opposite the scout hut, behind a silver Ford Fusion.”

Anyone with information is being asked to call 101 and quote incident 434 of September 12.
