32 home plan tabled for Skellingthorpe

Developers say it will reflect the character of the village

Plans have been tabled for 32 new homes in a village near Lincoln.

Lincs Design Consultancy Ltd lodged the proposal to North Kesteven District Council for the development in Skellingthorpe, west of the city.

As part of the plan, the new homes would be built on land off Jerusalem Road in the village.

The site is currently a grass field behind existing homes in the area.

A total of 24 two-bedroom and eight three-bedroom homes would be built as part of the plan.

The developer said in its plans that the development would be “appropriate” and reflect the character of the local area.

It added: “The size and type of dwellings will encourage first time buyers and small young families due to the close proximity of the primary school.”

North Kesteven District Council will make a decision on the plan at a later date.
