Guns and drugs taken off streets after tip off

Three people have now been arrested

Guns and drugs have been taken off Lincolnshire’s streets and three people have been arrested after a tip-off.

Humberside Police raided an address on Kingsgate Mews in Grimsby to tackle drug-related crime in the area.

Officers found rifles, pistols, suspected class A drugs with an estimated street value of over £5,000 as well as some class B drugs.

The raid came after a tip-off.

Two men and one woman were arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply.

Inspector Paul Bennett said: “The impact that drugs and drug-related crime can have on a community cannot be underestimated and is something we take incredibly seriously.

“The drugs that we have seized today will now never see the streets, helping to disrupt the supply in Grimsby and further afield.

Officers seized these drugs.

“Today’s warrant came as a result of information given to us by the local community, I want to thank people for coming forward and sharing their information with us.”

Anyone with information about drugs or crime is being urged to call 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
