Men expose bums to women on Lincoln anti-rape march

The women were shocked and disgusted

Three men exposed their bums to women who were on an anti-rape march in Lincoln.

Organised by Lincolnshire Rape Crisis, the group marched up the High Street on Saturday, November 23 to protest violence against women.

When the women arrived at Hunter’s Fish and Chip Shop some time between 6.30pm and 6.45pm, they were shocked to see three men pull their trousers down and laugh.

It was pretty clear what the march was about.

As they approached the takeaway, the men pulled down their trousers.

Many of the women were also marching in memory of the University of Lincoln graduate Grace Millane, who was murdered on a backpacking trip in New Zealand.

Sophie Lavender, who took the photos and shared them with The Lincolnite, said that she has passed on them onto Lincolnshire Police.

“I think that it was disgusting and incredibly disrespectful,” the 23-year-old said. “We just carried on with the march.”

She added: “What they did was incredibly sexist and there is no excuse for that behaviour. The men were all laughing.

“There are some women on the march who are survivors of abuse and it shows a huge lack of respect for them.”

The Lincolnite has been in touch with Lincolnshire Police but has not had a response by the time of writing.

Update: Lincolnshire Police has asked anyone with information to get in touch on 101 to help them investigate.
