Three dead and two seriously injured in A1077 crash

Next of kin sought for deceased men

Three people have died and two more are seriously injured after a two car crash on the A1077 on Sunday morning.

Humberside Police closed the road between South Ferriby and Barton interchange for several hours to deal with the crash between a Toyota Celica and a Peugeot 3008.

The three men in the Toyota died and officers are still attempting to trace their next of kin.

A woman and a man who were in the Peugeot both sustained serious injuries and are still receiving treatment in the hospital.

Sergeant Rob Mazingham from the serious collision unit said: “This was a very serious collision which has very sadly resulted in the deaths of three men and left a woman and another man in a serious condition.

“I now have officers working hard to find the families of the three men. I am also appealing to anyone who might have seen anything around the time of the collision, or the vehicles beforehand, to contact us.”
