Grimsby man found guilty of Cleethorpes murder

He will be sentenced on Wednesday

A 45-year-old man from Grimsby has been found guilty of the murder of Shaun Lyall in Cleethorpes.

Craig Whittle, of Corporation Road in Grimsby, was charged with murdering the 47-year-old, who was found with multiple injuries at a house on Sidney Street on July 17, 2018.

Whittle appeared at Hull Crown Court on Tuesday and is due to be sentenced on Wednesday, December 18.

Humberside Police are also still looking for a second man in connection with the murder.

Abdi Ali, 29, who is originally from Somalia, has links to the Grimsby area, Sheffield, London, Lancashire, South Yorkshire, Merseyside, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Lincolnshire, and Cleveland.

Police advised people not to approach him and to call them in the first instance.
