Man arrested after theft and assault at Lincoln shop

Another male was taken away in an ambulance

A man has been arrested and another injured after an alleged theft and assault at a 24-hour shop in Lincoln on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident happened at the Supasave on Corporation Street. Police and ambulance crews were deployed to the scene just before 1pm on Tuesday, February 11.

Police arrested a 37-year-old man on suspicion of theft and grievous bodily harm.

The shop was closed to customers for a short time, before a casualty was taken away by paramedics. Police have since confirmed that injuries are not thought to be serious.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of theft and GBH after we were called to Supasave in Corporation Street at 12.57pm today (February 11).

“A man was injured and injuries are not thought to be serious.”
