Police are appealing for information

Police have removed the cordon around a property on Monks Road as they continue to investigate the circumstances behind an injured man found in a garden.

Police later told The Lincolnite that the man’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, although the nature of them still remains a mystery.

It is understood that the man is still in hospital, but this has not been confirmed.

A spokesperson from Lincolnshire Police said on Thursday: “No-one has been arrested or charged in connection to this incident.

“We have now removed the scene guard from the address and our enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident 61 of February 19.”

Police previously issued an appeal to anyone who was on Monks Road in the early hours of Wednesday morning as officers continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.

The force would like to speak to anyone who was walking or driving in the area near to Lincoln College between 3am and 8am, and may have seen or heard anything they thought was unusual.

They are also appealing for anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
