Top Gear features Lincolnshire’s Cadwell Park this weekend

Tune in to see the episode on Sunday

A famous race track located five miles south of Louth will feature in a new episode of Top Gear this weekend.

To celebrate the 100th birthday of the sports car, presenters Paddy McGuinness, Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris take a road trip, initially to Yorkshire, which will air on BBC Two at 8pm on Sunday, February 23.

The trio take the latest sports cars from Ferrari Portofino, Aston V8 Vantage and Porsche 911 on what Cadwell Park said is initially a “nice gentle road trip around Yorkshire… right up until a race track in Lincolnshire cropped up in the plan”.

Top Gear said it would have been a nice gentle road trip had the producers not decided to invite along a few familiar faces for the ride, with former Formula 1 driver Damon Hill appearing in some sneak peak photographs.

Chris tests out Volkswagen’s ID-R electric racer back on the track and YouTube star KIS features in the episode as the studio guest.
