A153 near Lincoln closed after motorbike crash

It caused some delays

The A153 Main Road south of Lincoln was closed in both directions after a crash involving a motorbike on Tuesday morning.

The road in the village of North Kyme was closed both ways from the B1395 Ferry Lane junction to the Chapel Lane junction.

A male motorbike rider was taken to hospital by air ambulance, but police said his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

It was first reported on AA Traffic at around 9.36am.

It’s understood that the road reopened at around 10.33am.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We received a call at 8.51am today (March 3), reporting a single-vehicle collision involving a motorbike at the junction of the A153 and B1395, North Kyme.

“The male rider was taken to hospital by air ambulance with injuries which were not thought to be life-threatening. The road was closed for a time following the incident but has now re-opened.”
