Developer’s 32-home plans for Market Rasen

The site was given outline permission for 10 homes to be built in 2019

A developer is looking to build 32 affordable homes in Market Rasen on land which has permission for 10.

Platform Housing Group has applied for permission from West Lindsey District Council to create the new development on to the west of Linwood Road.

The site was given outline permission for 10 homes to be built on the one hectare site in 2019.

In documents before the council, the applicant said there was an agreement to the principle of residential development.

How the site would be laid out if approved.

They said: “The proposed development will have an informal character and a sinuous layout reflecting the edge of settlement location, and also a new development on the opposite side of Linwood Road.”

They said the houses, a combination of one and two storey homes, will reflect others in the village.

The site would be accessed from Linwood Road and will include an attenuation pond in the north eastern corner surrounded by recreation space.
