New 110 homes plan tabled for Winterton

A previous plan was rejected in December

New plans for 110 homes in a North Lincolnshire town have been submitted just months after a similar scheme was rejected.

Gleeson Regeneration Ltd have tabled the plans to North Lincolnshire Council for a development on Top Road, Winterton.

The scheme would see 13 two-bedroom, 76 three-bedroom and 21 four-bedroom “low cost” homes built at the site.

A similar proposal for 120 homes on Top Road was rejected back in December over fears that public services would be “pushed to breaking point”.

Councillors on the authority’s planning committee voted down the plan amid concern that it had a “long list of problems”.

Gleeson said in its proposal that the homes will help to provide “low cost housing” and better choice for local people.

North Lincolnshire Council will make a decision on the new scheme at a later date.
