Police chase ends in Scunthorpe drugs arrests

Two charged with drug dealing

A Scunthorpe police chase in the early hours of the morning ended up with drugs and dangerous driving arrests.

Humberside Police pursued the car on Wednesday morning and forced the suspects to stop at Melton Ross, close to Humberside Airport.

They arrested Josh Cooling, 25 and of Hereward Place, Chris Ferguson, 18 and of East Common Lane as well as a third man who police released under investigation.

Both have now been charged with three counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and one count of possession with intent to supply class B drugs.

Cooling was also charged with dangerous driving, failing to provide a sample of breath and driving without insurance.

Ferguson was separately charged with criminal damage and interference with a motor vehicle.

Both are due to appear at Hull Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 12.
