A man has been hit by a car after a serious crash on the A15 Broadgate, causing police to close the road.
Police were called to the crash opposite the Premier Inn hotel, which was reported to The Lincolnite by a passer-by at around 11am on Friday, March 13. A person appeared to be lying in the road, but the extent of any injuries were not known at the time of publication.
A road closure is currently in place northbound along Broadgate. Traffic is being diverted along Silver Street and police are advising people to avoid the area.
According to an eye witness the road has since closed in both directions, with forensic vans, a fire engine and several ambulances at the scene.
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We are currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision on the A15 Broadgate involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
“A road closure is in place along Broadgate and traffic is being diverted along Silver Street.
