Thorpe on the Hill dangerous driving suspects released

Police are still trying to find out who was behind the wheel

Three men who were arrested after a serious crash in Thorpe on the Hill have been released under investigation.

Police are continuing inquiries to determine who was behind the wheel of a Black Mercedes Benz when it crashed with a silver Ford Fiesta.

The men, aged 25, 26 and 30, were taken into custody under suspicion of dangerous driving following the crash on Fosse Lane near to the A46 at around 9.50am on Wednesday, March 4.

One man fled the scene of the collision, leading to a police helicopter hunt.

Two occupants, a man and woman in their fifties, were taken to hospital.

Lincolnshire Police have said their injuries are not as serious as they originally thought.

A spokesperson said: “Our inquiries continue and part of that investigation is to establish who the driver was of the black Mercedes Benz.

“As the investigation continues we are unable to provide further details.

“We are appealing for witnesses and anyone who has information that will help our investigation to contact us.”
