The 11 year old covered over 3,000 metres in less than 24 hours!

A young boy from Lincoln has conquered the equivalent of the three peaks challenge by climbing his stairs.

Eleven-year-old Ben Payne took on the task of walking up and down his stairs over 1,500 times in less than 24 hours and has raised over £3,000 for the NHS.

His mum Vicky said he had been inspired by Captain Tom Moore’s famous laps around his garden, and wanted to do something himself.

He began the challenge at 6:45am on Sunday, April 19 and finished at 11:58pm the same day, covering a total of 3,408 metres on his journey.
