Emergency services visit ‘chalk house’ for this week’s key worker clap

Frontline staff showing their thanks to more creative people in Lincolnshire

This week’s ‘Clap for Carers’ saw fire engines and police officers gather outside of the ‘chalk house’ in Cherry Willingham.

The weekly 8pm Thursday clap has been observed all around the country since lockdown began, with police, ambulance and fire services showing their support too.

The Lincolnite originally reported on this house last week, and now emergency service workers wanted to show their appreciation.

Emergency services are clearly making this a bit of a regular thing, having spent last week’s clap at Lincoln’s ‘rainbow house’.

Kate Eilidh coloured her house in rainbow colours with chalk alongside her children.

“I had absolutely no idea they were going to do it, it’s so sweet of them.”

“It made my boys very happy and made me so emotional.”
