By Local Democracy Reporter

A local gamer from North Hykeham will be livestreaming himself playing video games for 24 hours for charity.

Jake Bannister, 27, will be playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to an audience on Thursday, April 23 at 10:00pm and will continue until the same time on the following day.

He is the founder of GypsyKing Gaming and has been running the page to help with lockdown boredom.

“Myself and my friends were just chatting while playing a while ago when the pandemic happened and the idea just arose that if we can give something back to the NHS to help then we would have achieved something great.”

“I just wanted to try raise a little money to help the wonderful NHS who put their lives on the line daily.”

All proceeds and donations will be going to NHS charities and you can donate here.

Visit Jake’s Facebook page to see when he will be going live.
