Beetroot farmers from a village near Gainsborough showed their appreciation for health workers during the coronavirus pandemic and ploughed a field with a giant NHS logo for the clap for carers initiative.
Beetroot UK is one of the biggest beetroot growers in the UK and the family business was established over 60 years ago. The firm is based at Stan White Farms in Misterton, with farms all over Lincolnshire.
Over 20 farmers clapped in the video to say a “big thank you to all health workers, front line services, logistics companies and farmers across the world” during the coronavirus crisis.
Graham White, director at Stan White Farms, Beetroot UK, said: “We’ve had a tough five months with all the floods, but as farmers we still hugely appreciate all the help and commitment given by the NHS and all front line staff and wanted to show our support.”
