Long queues as people wait for KFC lockdown guilty pleasure

Over 30 cars were sat waiting

More than 30 cars queued to get a long-awaited KFC fix at a drive-thru in Grimsby.

Justinn Haith posted the viral video outside the KFC drive-thru on Birchin Way shortly before 6.30pm on Saturday, May 2 saying he had already been waiting for an hour.

The food delivery driver then left and drove past the “mental” queue of at least 34 cars, which was backed up right to the roundabout. In the video he also claims they had “turned the machine off” in KFC.

The video was posted on Saturday with the caption ‘KFC drive-thru queue – delivery only through the Uber (Eats) app on Sunday’. It has since been shared over 390 times and has around 700 comments.

KFC announced on April 29 that by Monday, May 4 it will have re-opened 100 of its restaurants in the UK for delivery.

Also opening for the first time was Scunthorpe’s Lakeside Retail Park restaurant.
