Butlins delays re-opening for fourth time

An even longer wait for Butlins to re-open

By Local Democracy Reporter

Butlins in Skegness has delayed re-opening its resort for the fourth time.

The most recent proposal from the budget resort company was that it would re-open on July 2, but another closure extension has been confirmed.

Butlins said in a statement: “Following on from the latestgGovernment announcements, we’re now working through what the proposed plans mean for Butlins.

“We’re hopeful that we can open again in the not too distant future but in the meantime, we’re extending the closure of our resorts until July 16.”

The company has launched a ‘Book with Confidence’ guarantee scheme to ensure that those with bookings to the resort have the option to reschedule or cancel their break.

All details and options if your booking has been affected by the closures can be found on the Butlins website.
